Eastern Indonesia Review (EIR) is a bilingual academic journal, focuses on interdisciplinary social science questions on development problems in Eastern Indonesia region. EIR accepts research papers that focus not only on Eastern Indonesia affairs but also on other disadvantaged areas in Indonesia from Sumatra to Papua.

Aims and Scope

EIR is a fully peer-reviewed academic medium for the construction and dissemination of alternative and critical perspectives on Eastern Indonesia regional development. It aims to create a high quality outlet for academics and practitioners who are committed to developing, reformulating, and critically analysing existing understandings about development issues in Eastern Indonesia.

Guidelines

Type of Articles

EIR publishes empirical articles, conceptual/theoretical articles, review articles, and critical essays. Special issue comprising 3-4 articles on a particular theme will also be published from time to time.

Editorial Policies

EIR adopts double-blind reviewing policy in which the identity of the reviewers and authors are concealed from both parties. Every submitted article will be match with reviewers of appropriate research interests and theoretical backgrounds.
